Admission Criteria | Three (3) subjects (Grades A-E) at the GCE 'A' Level or Three (3) subjects (Grades I-III) at CAPE (both units I and II), one of which must be Chemistry, Biology or Food & Nutrition. OR A minimum of five (5) subjects CSEC (Grades I-III) or five (5) subjects at GCE 'O' Level (Grades A-C) inclusive of English A, Mathematics and two (2) Science subjects from the list (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science and Integrated Science). OR A Diploma in Agriculture from Guyana School of Agriculture. OR A Certificate in agro-processing with a minimum pass with credit from the Guyana School of Agriculture and a minimum of three (3) subjects at CSEC or equivalent inclusive of English A. OR A Trained Teacher's Certificate or Associate Degree in Education with a specialization in Science or Home Economics. OR Mature age applicant (26 years and over) who has evidence of exposure to Food Related Industries together with a pass at the UGEE. OR Any qualification considered by the University to be equivalent to any of the above. OR An Ordinary Diploma in Science (Chemistry or Biology) from Government Technical Institute (GTI). |
